Intro

Once upon a time, a girl woke up and thought she'd like to share her thoughts. At first, she felt lost, since she didn't know if all her thoughts can be shared. On her way to find her place in the internet world, she realised, she can publish whatever she loves, so here we go...

Lake District

The weather temperature in England is starting to decrease and is getting closer to 0, so we might expect some glazed frost or even a snow soon. (I sound little like a weather forecaster :) ) Therefore I decided to edit some of my photographs taken during a short trip in Lake District from almost a year ago (the end of March '13) because they remind me of a winter time. We surprisingly had a lovely shining weather over there, what caused beautiful diamond reflections of the snowy landscape.

Helvellyn

First day, we wanted to spend by exploring lower grounds, since we prepared Scafell Pike track for next day and we wanted to save us some energy for it. Therefore we chose a relaxing walking track to Helvellyn starting from a car park Highpark Wood. Unfortunately, we got lost right in the beginning, so from a lovely afternoon walk was a sweating steep almost climbing up the hill.

Anyhow, it was all worth it because the view was amazing:

We were really exhausted but mostly proud of ourselves when we reached the top.

The way back to the 0 above sea level we met two lovely and very photogenic sheep:

Scafell Pike

Next morning was really hard... Muscle pain was hardly bearable and I seriously started considering a relaxing boat trip and fishing instead of defeating another summit. (Un)fortunately, a friend of mine was a real pain in the ass talking about me being a chicken what increased my adrenaline level and motivated me to get on the top of the Scafell Pike. And I have to say, it was the best decision I made that day cause the feeling of defeating the summit was incredible.

And we are finished, let's go home...

Instructions how to get down the hill the quickest way: Slide it! (:

Emily

This year almost "every" lady of my surrounding was blessed with a baby and I've had an opportunity to prepare something personal and really special for them.

But at first, I would like to present you my joy and pride, my beautiful niece:

Photo: Scotland

Last weekend we went to Scotland for Easter holiday and it was magnificent. I enjoyed every minute of it, even though it was real April weather: sometimes sunshine, sometimes rain, sometimes snow.

North of Scotland

We stayed at Fort William hostel but I would rather recommend Glen Nevis camping site.

Glen Nevis

First day we took a tour to Glen Nevis Falls - I could not resist the beautiful scenery, so of course I took looots of photographs, some of which I would like to share with you.

Ben Nevis

Second day we took the track to Ben Nevis summit - it was the main reason why we decided to spend our holiday in Fort William this year. We woke up early morning because the whole track takes approximately 9 hours and we didn't want to be getting back at night. The track was steep and rocky and 1000 metres above sea level it was getting quiet cold, windy, misty and I felt really challenged to reach the summit. Fortunately, the snow didn't defeated us and we conquered the summit in 4 hours (and it took us app. 2 hours to get back down to the camping site = 80 metres above sea level).

Glenfinnan and Loch Ness

The following day we preferred more leisure walking, so we decided to check out the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct, which was used as filming location for Harry Potter movies. Since the location wasn't so hard to find and walk wasn't so difficult, we still had plenty of time to take trip to see Loch Ness (MOnster:). We were lucky enough to actually catch a glance of Nessie and of course we took some photos of her; unfortunately, she prefers to be anonymous, so I respect her decision and I won't post any pictures of her. Thank you for understanding ;)

Jedburgh Abbey

On our way back home we had a chance to take a last sight of the Glencoe Mountains and after that we went to visit one more attraction, which was worth to see: Jedburgh Abbey.

I hope  you enjoyed my photographs and little commentary with them. My last words for this post: VISIT SCOTLAND!

Calendar 2012

I have lots of friends but only a few great friends. Lucky me, most of them were living/working/studying with me here in Luton. Unfortunately, one of my best friends felt her journey shall continue somewhere else, so she and her boyfriend left UK and now they are trying their luck somewhere else. I wanted to make something really special for her, since I didn't know how soon I will see her again. And then it occurred me: "I'll make a calendar with a digest from all our trips, parties, gatherings!!!" So here I share my unforgettable time spent with this special person Petra spread through 12 months (:
